The pipeline will be severely curtailed by the maintenance work that is going on from July 11, 2011 through July 26, 2011.  Please contact us for availability at Selkirk during this time.  Once the pipeline comes back to regular capacity, we can't stress enough the importance of building pipeline allocation for this upcoming winter.

Propane has been trading at a relatively high value to crude.  This is due to the lower than normal propane inventories around the country.  The builds have been below average due to high Petrochemical demand and extremely high exports out of the Gulf Coast.

Propane inventories have recently been building but still running lower compared with last year's mark.  The most recent inventory reports revealed the national level at 39.2 MMbbl according to the Energy Information Administration (EIA).  This is nearly 10.5 MMbbl below the inventory levels of 2010.

When doing Prebuys for your customers, it is our belief that you should sell what you buy and buy what you sell.  Most traders will readily admit that they can't predict what the market will do.  As a retailer, the same holds true in our opinion.  When it comes to your Prebuy positions, you should be evenly hedged.  We have been purchasing out-months for customers looking to lock in gallons and pricing for next season.  Please let us know if you are interested in this program.

It appears from our perspective that there are a significant amount of tanks that are running at "just in time" inventory out in the field and at dealers' plants.  We can't emphasize enough how important it is to the industry's infrastructure to go into winter with full tanks.
